Green IT
As part of its Environment, Social & Governance approach, the Circet Group has naturally adopted a responsible design for its digital ecosystem, including its websites.
Circet applies concrete Green IT principles in the design and development of its websites. The objective is to reduce unnecessary resource consumption while maintaining performance, reliability and usability.
Optimized images and media
Images on Circet Energy website are handled to limit page weight and data usage:
- Images are converted to WebP format directly in our CMS
- Lazy loading is enabled on all images to avoid unnecessary loading
- Images are resized before upload, avoiding oversized files
- Icons and pictograms are delivered as SVG files, which are lightweight and scalable
Videos never start automatically.
Efficient front‑end structure
The Circet Energy website is built using a modular and reusable component architecture.
This avoids duplication and keeps the structure consistent and easier to maintain.
Our CMS also applies automatic code minification, helping reduce file size without additional development overhead.
Performance‑focused delivery
To improve loading speed and limit infrastructure load:
- The site is delivered through a global CDN
- Scripts are loaded in defer or async mode whenever possible
These choices help balance performance and environmental impact.
Responsible design choices
To avoid unnecessary resource consumption:
- No heavy or decorative animations are used
- No unnecessary visual effects are added
- A single font family (Montserrat) is used across the entire Circet Energy website, limiting font files and requests
